Olympic gold medallist Grant Holloway, European champion Cyrena Samba-Mayela and world indoor silver medallist Wilhem Belocian will feature in the sprint hurdles at the Meeting de Paris – part of the Wanda Diamond League – in the French capital on Friday 20 June.

Three-time world champion Holloway will return to Paris with fond memories. He won at the 2023 Meeting de Paris in 12.98, then almost matched that time when winning Olympic gold in the French capital one year later.

More recently, he won his third world indoor title, finishing ahead of Belocian. The duo will renew their rivalry on Belocian’s home soil in June.

“This summer, the objective will be to continue this momentum and validate my two indoor medals,” said Belocian. “I need to regularly compete against the very best athletes and the Meeting de Paris will give me a great opportunity to do just that.”

Samba-Mayela, meanwhile, will be racing in France for the first time since earning Olympic silver. The 2022 world indoor champion, who broke the French outdoor record with 12.31 when winning European gold last year, joined Tonja Buford-Bailey’s training group in Texas in the off season.

“Competing in Paris, in front of a French crowd and my loved ones, will naturally be extra special,” she said. “Less than a year on from the incredible Olympic experience, I’m looking forward to showing what I’m made of on the Charléty track and reliving the thrilling atmosphere.”
